NCAA Basketball Bracket Challenge
We are holding a bracket challenge for the NCAA tournament. It's free to enter and open to everyone. Grand prize is a $50 gift card to Borchardt Brothers. Three runners-up will have their choice of a free assessment and month of Health 30, an unlimited month of yoga at Bliss Yoga and Fitness, or an unlimited month of unlimited strength and cardio class at Bliss Yoga and Fitness. Look for the insert from The Advance on Wednesday, March 18th. Please have your completed brackets in by Thursday at noon. Current standings will be posted on the website.

Rules:
Correct picks will be progressively weighted higher from rounds 2 to the championship game. Point value will start at 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 for the championship game. The point value will then be multiplied by the seed number. This helps those who pick the correct upsets.
Example: you correctly pick that your 8th seeded team wins their first two games. You get 8x2=16 points for the first correct pick and then 8x3=24 for the next round. All those points will get added up.

Football Pick-Em
Our annual football pick-em contest occurs during the NCAA season. It is a tough battle yearly which comes right down to the wire. This was primarily open to Health 30 or Silver Sneakers members only as they would come in and participate during the duration of the contest. Next year, we will have the weekly picks sheet posted here!

In December of 2014, Team Transcend took their "talents" to The Hope Center in Adrian for a basketball showdown. After a hard fought four quarters, Team Transcend succumbed to defeat to the tune of 60 to 46. The Hope team was gracious enough to join us for a picture. Great game Hope Center! Way to keep that undefeated record!

We are looking to recruit the best basketball players in Blissfield for next year's rematch. Pay is negotiable :)

In January 2016, Team Transcend had an opportunity to redeem ourselves at The Hope Center in Adrian. Due to the lack of boxing out and turnovers, we lost yet again. 

Looks like the third time will have to be the charm!

In February 2017, Team Transcend again took on the Hope Center Hoopsters. This time around we had our cheer squad led by Carla. She did a fair job. Unfortunately, her minimal effort with cheering did not inspire us enough. Yeah, that's it. So next year we will need a larger cheering section!

A huge THANK YOU goes out to our friends and family that helped to make our first River Raisin parade a blast in 2014. We gave out hot/cold packs to those in the community. It was a pretty sweet item that can be microwaved to be heated or chilled to be cold. We gave these out with the thought that, "Hey, if you need this, you might want to give us a call!"

 


The River Raisin Festival of 2015 featured blistering heat. We were undeterred and handed out goody bags to the visitors along the roads. It was a full helping of Americana.
